START Review helps emergency responders study START: Simple Triage and Rapid Treatment, a procedure for quickly triaging victims in mass-casualty incidents.

START Review presents the trainee with a series of ten randomly simulated victims to be triaged and treated. At the end of the series of victims, a "scoreboard" displays the time spent on each victim and a count of any errors made.

The START Review app is for classroom and self-study use only, not for field use. In a mass-casualty incident, time is of the essence, and the responder must have practiced the START procedure beforehand so that triage takes less than one minute per victim.

The START procedure was developed by the Newport Beach Fire and Marine Department and Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, California in 1983. It is currently the most commonly used mass-casualty triage system in the United States.
